OBSERVATIONS FROM A VET

SHOT show 2017 is over! This year was interesting, but it had nothing to do with ingenuity or design, but more with marketing. This year’s election played a huge role in most of the business strategies brought to the show. It’s hard to stand out in this business and find your niche, but when you do the biggest thing to remember is you must maintain your name and product by standing behind it 100%. I’m extremely thrilled by the companies we work with because they do just that. They accomplish this on a few different levels, but the most important one is they bring family values into their workplace. When your employees feel like they are part of a family vs people ...

OBSERVATIONS FROM A VET

Joe Caley   Some people just amaze me and Joe Caley is one of them.  When I received Joe's application I was a little concerned at first about him going through the training.  It had nothing to do with wether he would enjoy it or not, but more with wether he would be able to maneuver the different courses of fire. The last thing I wanted was to see a veteran turned away from the shooting sports because of a disability.  Man oh Man was in for a surprise!! Joe Caley has not lost sight of his warrior spirit and the ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome. Not only was Joe able to conduct the training with his disability, but he was even faster then some of the ...

OBSERVATIONS FROM A VET

THE STALKERS    I am beyond humbled and grateful to have met Mike & Julia Stalker, the first participants in the 3GUN4VETS program. It was an honor giving back to such a deserving couple that continues to serve our country. Their service has come at a heavy cost both physically and mentally, but they still push forward defending what they love. Thank you for your continued service Mike and Julia and for allowing me the opportunity to pay you back. Thank you Rob Romero and all the 3G4V sponsors. Your assistance, guidance, and belief made this all possible!Their BIO:   Michael and Julia Stalker first met under the most unusual circumstances. They didn’t know ...

OBSERVATIONS FROM A VET

JOHN TIEGEN13 FRIENDS    You know who he is, and I’m sure most of you have seen the movie or read the book. For those of you living under a rock, I’m talking about John Tiegen from 13 Hours. His story stems from the events that took place in Benghazi on Sep 11th - 12th 2012 when a group of CIA contractors were left alone to battle off a group of militant forces out for blood. Because the event cost the lives of 4 Americans, it sparked controversy and public outrage. The story is dramatic and the movie is intense, but the real story lies with the individuals who willingly laid their lives on the line to protect their fellow Americans knowing it could possibly be ...

OBSERVATIONS FROM A VET

DUST -OFF  Dust-off 31, prepare to copy 9 line………   Any service member who’s heard this transmission over the net knows it will send shivers down your spine. For those of you not familiar with the term 9 line it’s the transmission used to request medevac support when friendly forces have been engaged and casualties and injured are among them. For the few of us who have had to send this report, it’s one we committed to memory, only in hopes we never had to use it. For our most recent veterans Josh and Amber Marshall however, it’s a transmission they know all too well!  The UH-60 community, has always been considered the ...
